Here at Grange Academy we’re always looking at ways to improve and be the very best that we can. Schools of Tomorrow began as a forward-thinking group of school leaders who recognised the importance of a school’s place as part of the community and pupil voice. As we continue our journey their principals apply increasingly. We think holistically about our school and its learners, we personalise learning for all, we think beyond the here and now, we nurture wider partnerships for learning wellbeing and sustainability and we want ourselves and our learners to be good ancestors.
Towards the end of the last academic year our team of ambassadors of tomorrow was formed. Our ambassadors were able to put forward their ideas and suggest ways that might motivate change for good in our school and local community. This term representatives of our ‘Ambassadors of Tomorrow’ will attend a sustainability conference meeting with other students from across the country to share ideas and make a positive impact on the world around us. Watch this space!
As part of our commitment to SOTO we aim to be a sustainable, future facing school where we endeavour to ensure that each learner receives a holistic educational experience, which is rooted in personal well-being, responsive to their personal needs, and equips them to understand and shape their own futures, whilst contributing to the common good.
We use the Schools of Tomorrow quadrants below to help us plan how we develop as a school. We ensure that these aims are reflected in all we do.
