Grange Values

Grange Values

At Grange we consider the personal development of our pupils to be just as important as academic progress. We aim to support all our pupils to recognise and demonstrate values that will not only make school a happy and safe place to be, but also lead them to live a positive and fulfilled life.

The whole school played a part in deciding what the Grange Values should be. It began with discussions in form groups and then the School Parliament agreed on the final values.

Our Grange slogan is Belong, Believe, Achieve, and in order to elaborate on these, we created the Grange Values.

The Grange Values are central to our school ethos and life. They are woven into all aspects of the school. Each week a different Grange Value is explored in assembly where pupils consider what the value means and how we can demonstrate it in our actions. This is then reinforced both through lessons and informal times in the school day.

Pupils are also encouraged to identify these values in each other and also in the wider world.

House points are awarded to pupils who demonstrate the values and it is also celebrated each week in our school newsletter.

The Grange Values allow all members of our school community to Belong, Believe and Achieve.

Grange Academy is a Unicef Gold Rights Respecting School and Gold Artsmark School. Ofsted rated ‘Good with outstanding leadership’ (July 2017).
