On Tuesday 6th November students from S1B and S4 went on a horticulture visit to Cambridge Botanical Gardens. The students collected seed pods, did some bark rubbing and had a good look at the gardens and greenhouses. The students were also able to observe the autumn changes to the trees and plants. A great day was had by the students and staff.
Jo: I enjoyed feeling the different grasses.
Alex: I enjoyed picking leaves and pine cones. It was fun searching.
Jazmin: We saw the bumble bee hives. They make lots of honey.
Jaiden: I enjoyed taking all the photos on the trip.
Parvir: We looked at all the plants. I enjoyed the lavender.
Lex: I enjoyed everything about the trip and all the different plants.
Scott: I liked looking and taking photos of the trees.
Patryk: I saw a spiky cactus.
Zack: I enjoyed picking leaves and smelling the plants.
Katie: I enjoyed looking at the cacti. They were very spiky.
Ashlee: I went up the raised walkway because it led to a sensory garden.
Finley: It was good. I liked picking up leaves.
Natasha: I liked looking at the trees. Some were tall. I had so much fun.
Tino: I liked walking around the garden and going into the shop. I touched and smelt the lavender.
Daniel: I liked seeing how pretty it all was. I saw some stinging nettles, they prickle. I touched and smelt the plants.
