Creating opportunities for adults with additional needs ​

Local multi academy trust BILTT has been able to offer training and employment opportunities within their Facilities Team to a young man with additional needs. Former Ivel Valley community special school pupil James, 28 had not been in employment since leaving school but is now training in an Assistant Site Agent role.

National Competition Success for Grange Academy Pupil

Grange Academy Pupil Mya has taken top spot in a national festive card competition with her stunning digital Xmas tree design. Run by award winning online interactive learning space Purple Mash the winning designs are currently available as personalised digital cards in a learning activity for all users of the highly regarded digital educational platform.

Grange ICT co-ordinator Claudine Rowley commented “Mya worked incredibly hard on her design; she chose the painting technique carefully and used various parts of the 2Paint application”

Charity Abseil - July 2021

Congratulations to Ms Catherine Assink ( Executive Principal and Interim Chief Education Officer of BILTT), Mrs Shannon Poulter (Maple Class Teacher) and Mrs Nikki Horner (Maple Class LSA) for completing their abseil down the National Lift Tower, in Northampton.  

They raised an amazing £6050.  That is an incredible sum of money.  Well done!

After months of lockdowns, social isolation and lack of opportunities for visits and activities, students from Kempston’s Grange Academy were able to spend two days during their Easter holidays, exploring the great outdoors.
